Teaching Assistant

30 hours per week, Term Time Only
Salary: NJC Grade 4 Pt 18 – 21 £12303-£13711 actual salary paid

Already a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school or academy, you will bring the drive, resilience and passion to instil lasting values and make a huge difference every day. If you’re familiar with supporting pupils with a wide range of behavioural challenges and needs, so much the better; if not, you will relish the unique challenges this brings and the exceptional satisfaction of creating tolerant, well-mannered young people who can thrive at home, at work and in the community.
You will work with teachers and senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes, enabling access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
  • Have high expectations and aspiration so that all pupils are able to achieve their potential and the academy secures high attainment for all
  • Continuously strive to improve the quality of teaching and learning so that all pupils consistently make progress which is better than pupils nationally
  • Be respectful towards all pupils, with an unshakeable belief in their entitlement to a high quality education, whatever their circumstances and ability
  • Engage with new emerging technologies to enrich and extend the learning experiences of all pupils
  • Maintain and enhance best practice as an academy which works with and for its community.
