The Scholars Programme

On Tuesday 29th January, twelve Year 9 students visited Clare College at the University of Cambridge to experience higher education learning and take part in a tour of Clare College.

The students took part in their first tutorial of six, as part of The Scholars Programme which involves research with a PhD tutor from the University of Nottingham.

The students have already written an initial assignment and participated in two tutorials, and they have already impressed their tutor;

“The students' engagement with the course content has been really impressive so far. In the first few weeks of the Scholars Programme they have already been introduced to a wide range of contemporary political issues and have been actively participating in critical discussion with both myself and their peers. I am very much looking forward to working with them over the coming months.”
