Students are encouraged to make the most of all the opportunities that a Community Academy can offer.  The academy has priority use of many recreation facilities, including two sports halls, squash courts and a fitness suite. We are especially proud of our 3G pitch at Garden Lane, which is one of the leading facilities of this kind in the County.

The Academy has an outstanding reputation for Performing Arts in the County and has superb Theatre facilities.  We are visited by professional theatre groups and visit other theatres with our students. Field trips for Geography, History and Science students, conferences and university visits are a regular feature of academy life.

During our Activities Week in December and July students have the opportunity to take part in an extensive programme of events, ranging from outdoor pursuits, sporting activities, cultural visits and skiing to numerous academy based activities which the normal academy timetable is unable to offer.

For Year 11 students, we have put together an extensive intervention programme that aims to provide additional support and increased teaching time to help all students meet their potential this exam season.

Further activities and weekly fixtures will also be available, students should speak directly to the PE department for information.
