Throughout your time at Sutton Community Academy you will take part in a wide variety of activities, lessons, and visits which will enable you to gain valuable knowledge about jobs and courses that may be of interest at various stages throughout your life. We will assist you in finding the information you need about your next steps after leaving Sutton Community Academy and help you to understand this information, which will be an essential skill to help you apply for, and be successful in jobs in the future.

Careers Advice
Our Careers Advisor is available in school from Tuesday – Friday to provide support in making a well-informed, realistic decision about what to do after leaving Sutton Community Academy and to help you to think further ahead about what you may wish to do in the future. You can request a Careers appointment at any time via your tutor or by contacting Mrs Foulds.

Careers Corner
The Careers Corner will be moved to the library and is always available to students. You can find information about colleges, sixth forms, apprenticeships, universities and different jobs. Check displays for up-to-date information about opportunities, open days and top tip to help you plan for your future!
Unifrog
You will be introduced and make extensive use of the Unifrog platform during Lesson 1, Make sure that you regularly access your Unifrog account, where you can use the tools to help you research different job sectors, subjects, universities or apprenticeships. You can complete the quizzes or even use it to write a CV or Personal Statement! If you need a new password, you can request this using your school email address

Please encourage your child to regularly access their Unifrog (Unifrog.org/sign-in) account where they can find a wealth of targeted resources and use the tools to help research different job sectors, subjects, universities or apprenticeships.
The Parents’ Guide to helping your child know ‘What’s Next’
The Parents’ Guide to helping your child know ‘What’s Next’ is a useful document for parents of young people in all year groups. This guide includes information on how your children can:
- Decide which subjects to study next;
- Understand apprenticeships;
- Select the right university and the UCAS application process;
- Write a personal statement; and
- Other options if academic learning is not for them.
Parent Guide – Success at School
Success at School have produced a useful guide, this one is suitable for parents/carers of students in all year groups. The guide supports you with helping your child to think about what they enjoy and what they may like to do in the future, it also helps you to learn more about the different opportunities that are available to your child, and provides helpful information and support!
